How to find us

The site is very centrally located in Manchester and can be easily reached using Manchester’s public transport network.

Our main entrance is on Lower Byrom Street on the corner of Studio 1, just next door to the Science and Industry Museum and directly opposite St John’s Gardens.

There is no vehicle parking on site but there are a large number of public and paid parking options in the immediate area.

Getting to Chaos Karts.

Chaos Karts is located in Manchester City Centre, and its easy to get to us by bus, tram, train bike or car. Plan your journey with Transport for Greater Manchester.

To get to us by MetroLink (Greater Manchester Tram Network)

Our nearest Metrolink stop is Deansgate–Castlefield, which is serviced by all trams except for the Bury to Piccadilly line.

Deansgate–Castlefield tram stop is 10 minutes' walk away.

Transport

By Train

Chaos Karts is closest to Deansgate station, a 10-minute walk away. We're also 15 minutes on foot from Manchester Oxford Road, 25 minutes from Manchester Victoria, and 30 minutes from Manchester Piccadilly stations.

Travel from Manchester Piccadilly to the attraction is easy via the free city centre bus (Route 1), or you can use Metrolink services to navigate between stations in the city centre. Visit Transport for Greater Manchester's website for more information on train travel to Manchester.

By Car

Paid street side cark parking bays now available directly opposite the entrance to Chaos Karts on Lower Byrom Street that are operated by Manchester City Council. You can use the nearest meter or online app to register and pay for your parking. We advise booking for a minimum of two hours.

 

There are 3 blue badge parking spaces in front of our neighbours, the Museum of Science and Industry on Lower Byrom Street, and there are limited council-run pay and display on-street parking spaces on Liverpool Road.

There are also many other car parks nearby run by private companies.

What should I wear

Our state-of-the-art karts have collision reduction technology which means no helmets and no smelly overalls!

Please dress for fun and comfort:

  • No high heels or open-toed shoes
  • No scarves or loose flowing clothing
  • You'll need to tie up long hair - so get those stylish buns ready!
  • Fancy dress is permitted as long as it doesn't impact your ability to safely operate your kart
